Prepare your iPhone for ecoATM

Here's how to get the most cash for your device.

  • Sign out of iCloud
  • Factory reset your phone
  • Charge it up
  • Bring your ID

Step 1. Sign out of iCloud

Before heading to the kiosk, make sure you've signed out of iCloud. If iCloud is still active, the kiosk won't be able to complete the sale and your price may be affected.

  1. Open "Settings" Tap on your name at the top of the "Settings" app
  2. Scroll down and tap "Sign Out" Enter your Apple ID password. Note: If your "Sign Out" button is disabled, make sure your device is connected to the internet
  3. Erase your data (if prompted) This will permanently remove your data — make sure you've backed up your device.
  4. Confirm sign out

Step 2. Factory reset your iPhone

If you factory reset your device during Step 1, you're all set. Go to a kiosk & sell!

  1. Open "Settings" Tap on "General" and then "Transfer or Reset iPhone".
  2. Tap "Erase All Content and Settings" Enter your passcode or Apple Account password.
  3. Confirm you want to erase your device Once you confirm, it may take a moment to erase your data.

Remember to charge your device

If it doesn't turn on during evaluation, you may get up to $50 less.

To sell to ecoATM, you'll need to be at least 18. We'll use your ID to verify your age and identity as required by law.

Accepted Forms of ID

  • Drivers license
  • State-issued ID cards
  • Military IDs (only for kiosks located on military bases)

  • Expired IDs
  • Passport books or cards
